The Broadfield and Bewbush Children's Project was set up in 2007 to offer a variety of services and activities to the children of these areas. Formed out of Christ the Lord Church is started with a team of volunteers running clubs, workshops and other activities for 4 to 13 year olds.
Thanks to the Local Network Fund the BCP was able to employ a part time children's worker to co-ordinated the activities of the group. This became a full time post in November 2008. The funding is from a variety of sources
including the Church Urban Fund, Crawley & Ifield Educational Trust,
Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council The parish of
St Mary's Southgate also support this project.
My name is Jeremy Brown and this is me together with Clair my wife and Grace our daughter.
I've a former Primary teacher and have been a Children's Worker for the last fifteen years.
I enjoy sport and also like to read and cook.
We have a dog (Willow, a chocolate labrador) and also a horse (Poppy) who is stabled at Worth Abbey (Clair is the horsewoman, I like transport to have brakes!)
The vision of the BCP is to provide activities for local children that are of high quality and great fun. Using local volunteers we aim to offer a variety of events for all the family.
We are also committed to the spiritual development of the child and want to share with them the good news of Jesus.
